Enayati Medical City, at 5 years: A new stage of growth by taking over Baneasa Hospital and expanding the national Concierge Doctor network

Five years after the inauguration of Enayati Medical City (EMC), the first integrated medical city in Romania and the largest greenfield medical investment in recent decades, the founder Wargha Enayati announces a stage of consolidation and expansion of the strategy, becoming a complete medical operator by taking over and modernizing Băneasa Hospital.

With this move, Enayati Medical City strengthens its position as an integrated medical operator, controlling the entire service chain – from medical guidance and diagnosis, to hospitalization, surgery and maternity, for all patient segments.

This strategic move reintegrates the existing ecosystem, offering a unified medical solution for the entire family – from birth to old age – and marks the maturation of the Concierge Doctor model, the “brain” of the medical guidance system, which scales nationally, both through access to medical guidance and through corporate subscriptions.

5 years of validation: Switching from “Access” to “Medical guidance”

In half a decade of operation, Enayati Medical City has demonstrated that the big problem of the Romanian medical system is not the lack of clinics, but the fragmentation of the patient’s path.

“Enayati Medical City was not built as a one-off project, a destination, but as a functional system to solve the chaos of navigating through the healthcare system. After five years, we have the data to confirm that our model works. The patient doesn’t just need a good doctor; he needs an architect of his medical journey. Through Concierge Doctor, we have transformed point-of-care access into continuous care, from 0 to 100 years,” says Dr. Wargha Enayati.

After five years of operation, the data clearly indicated that the mother-child segment and associated surgery generated some of the greatest medical coordination needs. Without its own hospital, this route remained incomplete. The takeover of Baneasa Hospital closes this circle.

The impact of the first 5 years in numbers and premiums

· Concierge Doctor Model: Over 68,000 complex cases coordinated, eliminating wasted time and miscommunication between specialties.

· Corporate subscriptions: annual growth of 25%, the advantages being the guidance provided by the Concierge Doctor, the fast access time to the appointment and the extensive national network.

· Cumulative turnover: in five years of activity it reached 60 million euros.

· Unique ecosystem of 35,000 sqm: the only structure in Romania that integrates, under the same roof, internal medicine, long-term care of chronic patients, oncology, recovery, a multidisciplinary polyclinic and a premium residential center for seniors.

· Enayati Medical City network: 2 hospitals, 4 polyclinics, imaging center, a recovery center, more than 500 employees and collaborating doctors and more than 300 national partners.

· 0–100 years approach: implementation of medical protocols that ensure monitoring of the patient throughout life, without syncope in the medical history.

· Number of patients: The ecosystem has reached 200,000 unique patients served since launch to date.

Taking over Băneasa Hospital: The medical pillar dedicated to the family

Starting from January 1, 2026, Băneasa Hospital comes under the direct operation of Enayati Medical City and will be renovated, modernized and reopened, to be operational from the summer of 2026.

The unit will be transformed into a multidisciplinary hospital (including surgery and maternity), with a focus on the mother-child segment, the needs of women in 2026 and modern pediatrics, operating in symbiosis with the Băneasa Mother & Child Clinic. Taking over the direct operation allows the hospital to be fully integrated into the Concierge Medical flow, providing patients with a direct, coordinated and fast surgical link.

“Băneasa Hospital returns under our operation to directly serve the vision of Enayati Medical City. We are no longer talking about isolated medical points, but about a continuous flow. In the health system, be it public or private, it is not just beds or equipment that are missing; integration is missing. A hospital dedicated to mother and child must be directly connected to diagnosis, surgery, pediatrics, recovery and continuous monitoring. Otherwise, the patient is left to navigate alone”, explains Dr. Wargha Enayati.

Strategy 2026–2029: Tripling the business and national expansion

With a current turnover (2025) of approximately 17 million euros, generated only by the Enayati Hospital segment and the Enayati Medical City polyclinics, the group aims to triple this indicator in the next three years. The pillars of this growth are:

1. strengthening the own hospital operations to cover the need for high-performance surgery, with a focus on women’s and children’s pathologies;

2. the expansion of the medical guidance model to the corporate segment and to patients looking for efficiency, not just consultations;

3. complete digitization of the medical route through the national network of guided partners.

“Concierge Doctor is not a premium service. It is the network of doctors that makes functional medicine. This is not just an expansion of volume, but one of depth. By controlling, starting this year, the entire chain of services – from the emergency room and neonatology to palliation – in the medical node in the Băneasa area, we can offer predictability and safety, the two elements that the Romanian patient lacks the most in 2026”, concludes the founder of Enayati Medical City.
