The Romanian Olympians participating in the Asian physics Olympiad 2025, held in Saudi Arabia, succeeded in obtaining seven medals – two gold, two silver and three bronze, as well as a mention of honor.

Romania has had the status of invitation to this competition, informs the Ministry of Education and Research (MEC) on Sunday.

The team of Romania was led by Prof. Dr. Delia Davidescu, from the International Theoretical High School of Informatics in Bucharest, and by conf. Univ. dr. Sebastian Popescu, from Alexandru Ioan Cuza University in Iasi.

The competition, located at the 25th edition, was held in Dhahran, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with the participation of 208 competitors from 28 countries.
