On the day they sold Louis Munteanu (23 years old) to DC Dallas for 11 million euros, CFR Cluj brought Denis Andrei Crișan (18 years old) from Spain, who was under contract with the first-division Mallorca, where he played in the second team.
Cluj’s get-beget, Crisan, about whom “Adevărul” wrote several episodes, returns home. He thrives in the pushing top position and is ambidextrous, using both feet well.
In Spain, the player was released by Rayo Vallecano, Andrei Rațiu’s club, but before that he was active in the juniors of the Dutch group PSV Eindhoven. Crisan also impressed Gică Hagi, at the Danone Cup.
During the negotiations held the other day with the boss Nelutu Varga and the president Iuliu Mureșan, Crișan turned his back on the heads of the CFR, say sources from the club.
After admiring his imposing physique, Varga asked him to lift his shirt, being impressed by the “squares” that Denis has on his abdomen. Also present were former footballers Marius Bilașco and Bogdan Mara, employees of the club, according to “Adevărul” sources.
Crișan will do the first training session with his new teammates on Saturday, after already taking a few tests with a coach from the club, then, on January 4, he will go to the training camp in Spain. He had a 3-year contract with Mallorca.
Crisan, who is currently on vacation in Romania, agreed to return to the country to be seen on the pitch by his 82-year-old grandfather, who raised him until the age of 5 and whom he wants to thank by scoring as many goals as possible.
