In the spring of 2021, Gabriel Cotabiță performed in London, for the Romanians there, in two memorable shows. In the midst of the Covid 19 pandemic, the late artist did not have a very large audience, but he sang from his heart for those present.
The moments were captured in several videos, but also in an interview in which the maestro tells how he started to sing and how he switched from rock to light music at the age of 30.
Gabriel Cotabiță also told how he had no idea that the song Noapte Albastra had become a hit on the radio in 1986, but also how he went on stage at a festival with a borrowed jacket.
What advice did the late artist give to young people who wanted to start singing and why he never sang popular music, you can find out in the collection interview.
Gabriel Cotabiță passed away today, November 23, after suffering a severe stroke. He was 69 years old.
