As a professional medical assistant, Gianina has been working for a kindergarten in the commune of Bascov for several years.
Gianina Petrescu spoke for the “Adevărul” about the impressive modeling career, a career started over three decades ago.
Gianina Petrescu discovered her passion for modeling almost 31 years ago, in 1994, from the first moment she stepped on stage, at a Miss contest in Pitesti, a contest that she won. After winning the title of Miss Boboc Pitești High School in the autumn of 1994, Gianina was noticed by Valeria Coman, at that time director at the Pitesti Student House and a highly appreciated mannequin discoveries and photographers who made a career both nationally and internationally.
Later, Gianina won dozens of prizes at national and international Miss competitions and appeared on the covers of several important magazines, making hundreds of commercials and shootings and participating in numerous fashion shows. And the passion for modeling has never left it.
“When I started at the age of 14, modeling was a beautiful story for me, a world that fascinated me, but I did not imagine then that I would get on the podium and after 40 years. But, over time, I understood that beauty is not old, and femininity evolves, I did not grow up. Message for women who lose confidence in them after a certain age: we can be visible, admired and active regardless of the figures in the bulletin.Gianina Petrescu told “Adevărul”.
Refused more offers to go abroad
The appreciated mannequin revealed what has always made her have the same great passion for modeling.
“” I think what always kept me close to modeling was the way I found myself in this world: in light, in motion, in the beauty transmitted by attitude and style. It was always more than clothes or podiums-it was about femininity, discipline and the power to tell a story without words. And authenticity has no expiration time ”explains Gianina.

Over the years, he has had several offers to leave and worked abroad, but refused them every time.
“I had offers to go abroad, especially during the time when my modeling was in a continuous ascension. But I chose to stay in the country, close to the family and my roots. I felt that I can build something beautiful and here, that I can inspire the women in Romania to believe in them, regardless of age or challenges.confesses Gianina Petrescu.
More than 20 years ago, Gianina ranked second at the national final of the Miss Italy Nel Mondo competition, one of the most important beauty competitions on the planet, organized since 1990.
Gianina Petrescu is also the presenter of the International Fashion Festival the colors of autumn, a festival organized every year in Pitesti for over 25 years and whose president is the famous fashion creator Cătălin Botezatu.
A graduate of the Ioan Cantacuzino Sanitary High School in Pitesti, Gianina Petrescu also graduated from the Christiana Post-secondary school, completing them with the generalist assistant generalist.
