A fake news was brought back to the attention that also circulated in 2024, related to the Bucharest National Opera. Like last year, the manipulation was launched with the opening of the season, liars that the institution would present a controversial premiere.

Specifically, a video clip was published on a social network that would present a scene from a show of the Bucharest National Opera. In the pictures there is a man naked on a stage where the opera is sung. However, the information is completely false. No ONB show contained such a scene in 2025, as it did not contain in 2024, reports impact.ro.
Posting has generated multiple violent reactions and comments, especially from people who, according to the tone of discussions, are not familiar with cultural life. The anger poured on the management of the institution, the Minister of Culture, the Prime Minister and even the President, transforming the subject into a political attack weapon.
Contacted by telephone by Impact.ro, the general director of the Bucharest National Opera, conductor Daniel Jinga, announced that he will notify the authorities:
“I ask the lovers of the Opera, especially of the ONB shows, to be informed only from the institution’s website and the official communications. We have interesting premieres this year, as last year, and maybe it disturbs the promoters of the Fake-News. said Daniel Jinga.
