FCSB defeated UTA Arad with a score of 2-0 (1-0), on Sunday evening, at the Arc of Triumf Stadium in Bucharest, in the 8th stage of the Super League.

FCSB obtained only its second victory in this championship, in its first match played at the Arc de Triumf Stadium. According to Agerpres, the champion prevailed with the goals scored by the South African Siyabonga Ngezana (16), with a header, after a free kick executed by Octavian Popescu, and by Alexandru Băluţă (87), after a pass provided by Daniel Popa.
FCSB missed a penalty (58), Alexandru Băluţă’s shot being defended by goalkeeper Robert Popa. The penalty kick was awarded for a foul committed by Ibrahima Conte on William Baeten’s shot.
FCSB also had good opportunities to score through Băluţă (71), whose lob was caught by the goalkeeper Robert Popa, and Malcom Edjouma (79), who restarted from the volley, but the ball was blocked by Ravy Tsouka.
UTA missed great scoring chances through Jordan Kadiri (2) and Alexandru Cîmpanu (54), from ideal positions. Raoul Cristea’s shot (90+4), from the edge of the box, was defended by Ştefan Târnovanu.
FCSB was coming after two consecutive defeats in the Superliga.
UTA has two draws and two defeats in the last four stages.
