FCSB – Sparta Prague, stupidity pays dearly: big loss for ours for a shocking reason

FCSB – Sparta Prague had, on Tuesday evening, after diametrically opposed halves. As Adevărul showed here, in the first 45 minutes the Romanian champion played catastrophically and paid the price. Even at the restart, the formation patronized by Gigi Becali did not shine, but, gradually, it increased its level of play and that’s how the two successes signed by Olaru (60) and Edjouma (85) came. But too few to qualify.

Unfortunately, after this poor performance overall, some looked to blame Danish referee Morten Krogh (36). Especially since, during the TV broadcast, the commentators kept reminding that the center of the meeting is from Denmark, as is the coach of Sparta Prague, plus five Czech players. It should be noted that of the five Danish footballers of the guests, only two played in the return leg with FCSB.

If the referee Morten Krogh stayed to see how many compatriots he has in the Czech team and, deeply moved by the massive presence of Danes in this team, he “whistle” in favor of Sparta, there is a detail that we will never find out. It is certain that, hearing the TV commentary, even Gigi Becali pointed the finger at the Krogh central.

More serious were the incidents after the final whistle. Because, angry at the elimination, the FCSB players surrounded the referee, reproaching him, first of all, for giving few minutes of extra time, only five. The most vehement was the midfielder Adrian Șut. Who also saw the red card from Morten Krogh.

The problem is that for his foolish gesture, which brought him this “red“, Adrian Șut will miss the double with LASK Linz (Austria) from the Europa League play-off. So, in addition to an important qualification in the Champions League play-offs, FCSB was also left without a key player.
