Fines of 1.385 million lei and the temporary closure of 36 units, after ANPC controls in the centers for the elderly, with disabilities and minors

Consumer protection temporarily closed 36 units and applied fines of over 1.3 million lei following checks performed on Saturday in national levels for elderly, with disabilities and minors.

During the extension controls of the National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC), 253 economic operators in the field of services in residential centers for elderly and persons with disabilities were verified on Saturday. 36 operators were sanctioned with the temporary stopping of the provision of services, following the non -observance of the legal regulations and 142 contraventional fines were applied in a total value of 1,385,500 lei, for the irregularities discovered, according to the ANPC statement.

Also, 98 warnings were issued for the deficiencies found, in order to remedy them, and 85 invitations were left to be left to end the following days when the final results will be communicated.

The main deviations found consist of: the kitchen area with unpaired deficiencies dirty refrigerators with broken chains, non -compliant utensils, rust deposits, without validity without identification elements; Bedroom areas with damaged damaged beds, pillows without covers, damaged and unregistered mattresses, damaged furniture; areas of baths with serious, unregistered deficiencies, mold, non -functional sanitary ware, defective and improper sockets; non -observance of food storage temperatures; dietary supplements and expired food products; raw materials with the deadline of consumption exceeded.

Regarding the incident at the Elderly Care Center in Becheanului Street 65 bis, Voluntari, Ilfov where former secretary Ştefan Eduard Olteniceanu prevented the control team from the protection of consumers from entering, the Ministry of Interior was informed and the competent authorities followed. to take the measures that are required, the ANPC statement states.
