One of the most anticipated car events in Romania, Mamaia Rally Show, will take place in just one month at the seaside, where 20 top pilots, both from the country and abroad, will be on a specially arranged circuit, which will bring for the first time Macadam and Asphalt, in the same place, promising a super show.
At a press conference that took place yesterday in Mamaia, Marco Tempestini, President Napoca Rally Academy and one of the promoters of the event, made the first disclosures related to the scheduled race on September 19-21 in the northern area, right next to the famous clubs.
Among those who will start the event are the Romanian champions Simone Tempestini, Vali Porcișteanu, Bogdan Marișca or Norbert Maior, but also foreigners such as Turk Kazaz, Italian Andrea Nucita or Bulgarian Martin Surilov. In total, there will be 20 top pilots, gathering over 30 absolute titles over the years.
“They will all compete on some similar cars, Rally2 models, with state -of -the -art configuration. The price of such a model is between 200 and 300,000 euros. There are top cars, equipped especially for rallies, and Mamaia Rally Show will be a real challenge for all pilots”, Explained Marco Tempestini.
At the Axxis Beach Conference, the organizational director Mihai Tanase revealed the format of the competition. “There will be only 1 to 1 duels, with two pilots at the same time on a circuit that will be made up of both asphalt and macadam. There will be jumps, probably the cars will fly, on their own, 15 meters, on certain portions. The audience will be able to see almost everything, so, I say we have the perfect recipe for a super show“He explained.
In addition to the competition, where access is free, fans will also receive permission to go to the Service Park to see in real time how the competition pilots are prepared. Also, several food and entertainment area will be arranged in the route area, but those present will also have activation points where they can win various prizes, including a ride to the right of a pilot.
The Romanian Riviera and Mamaia resort will be actively involved in their turn in support of the Rally show. “Tourism must be completed with such events, which offer impact and attractiveness. Mamaia will strengthen its position of modern description, and we are glad that we position the Romanian Riviera in the international circuit of the big events“, George Măndilă, president of OMD Mamaia – Constanța, also explained.
The show will start on Friday, September 19, with the presentation of pilots and cars in the port of Tomis, and will continue on Saturday in the northern area of Mamaia, on the circuit, with the training sleeves, and Sunday will take place the decisive battles eliminating between the pilots, who will establish the winner.
