Four flights operated by Wizz Air and Ryan Air were canceled on Thursday at Henri Coandă International Airport, due to the 24-hour strike announced at Charleroi Airport in Brussels, according to representatives of the Bucharest National Airports Company (CNAB).
Thus, Wizz Air canceled the flight taking off at 06:15 from Otopeni and the one landing at 12:15 in Bucharest. Ryanair canceled the flight arriving at 10:25 in Otopeni and the one that was to leave at 10:50 from the Capital.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has informed Romanian citizens who are in, transiting or intending to travel to the Kingdom of Belgium that a 24-hour strike will take place on Thursday at Charleroi airport.
“For Thursday, September 12, 2024, the management of Charleroi airport has announced a 24-hour strike, which will affect operations at this airport. In this context, the operational capacity of the airport will be reduced, and some flights will be cancelled. The strike targets most of the operational functions of the airport (baggage, check-in, aircraft refueling)”,
stated in a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, sent to AGERPRES on Wednesday.
