Outrageous case at the school in Vaslui! A high school graduate taught for 14 years as a Romanian language teacher. How was it possible? To get to this position, the woman falsified all her documents, writes HotNews. What is really serious, however, is the fact that no one realized so bitterly recently that aunt Lenuta has nothing to do at the chair.

He managed to fool everyone! Although he did not attend any college, although he has no studies in the field or specialty, Lenuța Damian, deputy mayor in the town of Codăești, Vaslui county, taught the Romanian language to students for almost 14 years. And not anyway, but from the full professor's chair! He got to this position after falsifying several diplomas attesting to his studies at various universities in the country. Currently under investigation and placed under judicial review, the former so-called teacher has resigned from the school. However, he continues to work unhindered in the town hall. And the story, if it weren't so serious, would be really funny, because Lenuta was even complained about by the local mayor.
Impeccable professional background, but criminal
According to the investigators, Lenuța Damian's professional career begins in 1991 when he was hired as an unqualified substitute at the school in the village of Ghergheleu, Codăești commune, a position he held until 2000. Initially, he worked as an educator, then as a teacher of Romanian, French and the Russian language. Starting from 2001 and until 2009, Damian taught as an unqualified substitute at the schools in Pribești and Codăești. In the summer of 2009, the woman took and passed the education qualification exam, becoming the head of the Romanian language department at the Ștefan cel Mare Codăești High School. All well and good, but the diplomas and certificates he submitted to the file were fake.
Following house searches, they found “bachelor's degrees, supplements to the bachelor's degree with clippings in the area of the application of the educational unit's stamp, teaching degree certificates and final certificates, clippings of some scanned stamp impressions of the “Ștefan cel Mare” University in Suceava, as well as of the public notary Irimia Traian Claudy from the municipality of Vaslui, as well as other copies according to some study documents with the names of other people, including the one named Bojilă (Hristea) Simona (the teacher according to whose diploma Lenuța Damian no. was falsified)”said the prosecutors.
“We are talking about an unprecedented case“, commented for “Adevărul” Cătălin Nan, the president of the National Federation of Parents. “As long as Education system doesn't clean itself up and doesn't find ways to get certain teachers out of the classroom, who, lo and behold, we discover aren't even teachers, we're all going to suffer. Both children and parents, even good teachers. Because a case like this casts a shadow over the entire guild and it's not right.” he continued.
Cătălin Nan believes that a system should be set up by which teachers can be more easily removed from schools. “If he is a holder, no one will kick him out. You can hardly remove it. Which is not right. And we parents can't do that. Although our children are the beneficiaries of the education process. The first to suffer”
Teachers should be role models for students, not negative examples. Apologize!
We are talking about a hallucinatory case in front of which the authorities reacted extremely hard, Cătălin Nan also states. “Teachers should be role models for children. But this woman lied to him. The whole system played on them, on us, on the other teachers“. But, the father points out, we must not fall into the trap of generalizations. “Not all teachers are like that. In fact, most of them are dedicated, professional people.” But with a slightly wrinkled reputation, we would say, because of some people who make fun of everything and everyone. “I would send a message to this lady: to apologize to the other teachers who are fair, who have a career that they worked hard on. Apologize to the children and parents as well. And to own up to what he did“, commented the president of the Federation of Parents.
Indeed, the woman seems to own up to it: she never claimed innocence and resigned from the school. She keeps quiet and goes about her business in the town hall. In other words, the dogs bark, the caravan passes…the investigation continues, Lenuța moves on and watches over, not the children's education, but the well-being of the residents of Codăești.
