After giving several interviews to the international media on Saturday, but also appearing on the Realitatea TV station, his campaign team announced in the evening that Georgescu will be present on Sunday at the polling station in Mogoșoaia, where he also voted in the first round, but also to parliament.
“Mr. Călin Georgescu believes that voting is an earned right. Therefore, his lordship believes that it is the right of the Romanians to be in front of the polling stations tomorrow, to wait to be received, to wait for democracy to win through their power. One by one at the vote, tomorrow they will be able to create democracy.
Mr. Călin Georgescu will be at the polling station in Mogoșoaia tomorrow (at 8:00 a.m.) and will wait to be able to exercise his right to vote. The Romanian people – no one should ever close the door in their face again, especially state institutions. The state must be open to people, not closed!
Mr. Georgescu demands the opening of the polling stations, the ballots are printed, the Romanians want to vote! Mr. Georgescu asks the institutions to let Romanians choose their destiny and not others to choose for them. In ’89 the Romanians won their right to freedom and this is how they will express it.
State institutions have the obligation to pave the way to democracy!”, it is stated in a press release.
The Constitutional Court canceled the 1st round of the presidential elections on Friday and the electoral process will be resumed in its entirety, CCR announces.
