The Italian Jannik Sinner (24 years old, 2 ATP) lost on Thursday evening, at the tennis tournament in Doha, to the Czech Jakub Mensik (20 years old, 16 ATP) and misses the duel with his great rival, the Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz (22 years old, 1 ATP).

The match ended with the score 7-6 (3), 2-6, 6-3 for the athlete who at the Australian Open 2026 withdrew due to an injury, before the duel in the “eights” with the Serbian Novak Djokovic (38 years old, 3 ATP).

Also today, Alcaraz got rid of the Russian Karen Khachanov (29 years old, 17 ATP) in the quarterfinals, score 6-7 (3), 6-4, 6-3.

The semifinals of the Qatar tournament are Alcaraz – Rublev and Fils – Mensik.
