The Asia Express grand prize was worth 30,000 euros, so the big winners of season 7, Nicolai Tand and Sorin Brotnei, went home with 15,000 euros of hats.
Apart from the 30,000 euros, Nicolai Tand and Sorin Brotnei would have received, however, 2,500 euros for each stage of the competition. The fact that they completed all 11 stages means that they collected 27,500 euros at the end. Therefore, each winning contestant would have received a total of no less than €42,500.
“Thank you to my family,” said Nicolai Tand with tears in his eyes, hugging Sorin Brotnei.
Although she lost the Grand Final, Maria State confesses that participating in Asia Express is the most beautiful experience.
“We are very happy. We managed to make this whole route on the Road of the Gods, the most beautiful experience of our lives” said Ioana State.

Asked what was the biggest difficulty encountered during the 11 stages of the contest, homesickness or the fact that he sometimes felt hungry, Nicolae Tand gave a surprising answer.
“Not hungry! The competition, that stress like that, when you get to a place and we didn’t have any luck with the cars at all!”he said, continuing: “I don’t know what happened! Everything we had to do we did pretty well because we were such strong tinkerers. To eat if we didn’t eat we didn’t mind, neither I nor Sorin had a problem with that.
But with the cars, the hitchhikers, they kind of threw us off our feet. Now let’s be serious: when someone passes you by and the clock ticks by and you, after they’re gone, stay for half an hour! Tell me what man in this world is indifferent! There is no such thing!
And voting is difficult! There is no strategy! In the end you are in a competition and you have to choose the one who you think is weaker than you at that moment”.
The most important thing he believes he learned during his adventure at Asia Express is that he understood how important family is.
“And the fact that you are away from your family, you miss it… I really missed my family, especially my children. When you are far away you realize that, in fact, the most important thing in life is family.
When you come back, you get back into that cycle of having to walk, run, but when you’re away it’s hard: you miss your babies, your wife, your in-laws, your parents, your siblings. I mean, there were moments when you were running and asking yourself: “What is my family, my brother, my grandmother, my child doing?!” Like some flashes they were coming!”, he confessed.
We remind you that in the 7th season of Asia Express the teams also participated: Anca Ţurcaşiu and her friend, the actress Andreea Samson, Mihai Găinuşă and Oana Paraschiv (his radio colleague), Betty Salam and her husband, Cătălin Vişănescu, Victor Slav and his girlfriend Selina, Adi Nartea and his friend, the actor Cosmin Vîjeu, Andrei Ursu and his boyfriend, Vlad Condurache.

Exciting moments for the teams Ioana State – Mane Voicu and Nicolai Tand – Sorin Brotnei, during a ceremonial removal of evil spirits by fire, before the Day of Silence, when they had a few moments of respite and realized that they had reached the end of the adventure that was the participation in Asia Express.
“I feel like crying, are you stupid?!”said Ioana State to her teammate, Mane, who, in turn, replied: “Me too!”…
“Today is not another day in Paradise, it’s the last, last day in Paradise”Sorin Brotnei also said nostalgically, after hugging Nicolai Tand, visibly moved as well.
Initial
An evening full of emotions and tense moments for the two teams remaining in the competition, who had to give their best, in the last hundred meters, to face the last challenges on the Road of the Gods, in Bali.

In addition to having to find tourists to get to wish them luck in their own language, the contestants faced an even bigger challenge, having to discover four codes to decipher.
One of the most difficult tests, the one in which a member of the team had to dive into the ocean water, put the competitors to the test not only of their physical endurance, but also of their mental endurance.
By far, however, one of the most difficult tests, but especially disgusting, was the one in which the contestants had to look for the clue to the next destination in some basins in the market, full of intestines and fish remains.
