“I also want to point out the approval, by government decision, in the context of digitization in the field of health, through the development of a new IT platform that will allow the National Transplant Registry to ensure the traceability of donation and transplant activities of organs, tissues and cells of human origin in therapeutic purposes, according to European recommendations. The new computer system will allow the permanent entry of data on donors and the updating of data on patients on the waiting list. Thus, the decision regarding the available organs is facilitated, the traceability of organs and patients is highlighted, as well as the updating and generation of data in real time in all health units where transplant activities or procedures are carried out“, said the spokesperson of the Government, Mihai Constantin.

In addition, he explained that after the introduction of information on the availability of a donor or an organ into the National Transplant Registry, the compatibility operation between the said organ and the active patients on the waiting list will be carried out automatically.
