The students will enter the summer vacation from Friday, June 21, 2024, after the completion of the courses, according to the calendar approved by the Ministry of Education.

The 2023-2024 school year has a total duration of 36 weeks. Students started school on September 11, 2023 and will go on vacation on June 21, 2024.
The school year was structured in five modules, separated by holidays, as it was in the previous school year.
When the school year ends in 2024
The last day of school for students who have not completed grades 8 and 12 is Friday, June 21, 2024. Students in grades 8 and 12 finished the school year early in order to sit their exams of National Assessment 2024 and Baccalaureate 2024.
Thus, for the 8th grade, the school year ended on June 14, and future high school graduates will finish their courses on June 7.
Students from the high school education – the technological branch and from the professional education go on vacation on June 28.
National Assessment Calendar 2024
The 2024 National Assessment Calendar was set by the Ministry of Education. The exams will take place between June 25-28, and the first results will be displayed on July 3.
-June 11 – 14, 2024: Registration for the National Assessment
-June 14, 2024: End of courses for 8th grade students
-June 25, 2024 – Written exam in Romanian
-June 27, 2024 – Written exam in Mathematics
-June 28, 2024 – Written test in Mother Tongue
-July 3, 2024 – Display of final results after resolution of appeals
Baccalaureate calendar 2024
The summer session exams will take place from June 17 to July 4, and the first results will be displayed on July 8.
-June 3 – 7, 2024: Registration of candidates for the first exam session
-June 7, 2024: End of classes for the 12th/13th grade
-June 17 – 19, 2024: Evaluation of oral communication language skills in Romanian – test A
-June 19 – 20, 2024: Assessment of oral communication skills in the mother tongue – test B
-June 20 – 21, 2024: Evaluation of digital skills – test D
-June 25 – 27, 2024: Assessment of language skills in a language of international circulation – test C
-July 1, 2024: Romanian language and literature – exam Ea) – written exam
