The manager of the “Cuza-Vodă” Maternity Hospital in Iasi, Robert Dâncă, came to work with a luxury car, a BMW X7, which does not appear in his wealth declaration. According to the quoted source, the car would have been purchased through a company in the medical field. Contacted by journalists, he claims to have used the vehicle “exceptionally”.
The information was published by Ziarul de Iași, which claims that the car was repeatedly spotted in the yard of the medical unit and in traffic.
According to the cited source, the car was purchased on lease by SC TOP MEDICAL CRONIC SRL, a company from Valea Lupului in which Ioan Dâncă, the manager’s father, a 76-year-old pensioner, residing in Neamț county, appears as a partner.
Contacted by journalists, Robert Dânca confirmed that he used the vehicle, but claimed that this happened occasionally and that there is no contractual link between him and the family companies.
“It was run exceptionally and nothing has changed, I have no contractual relationship with those companies. It is my private activity, it was a decision I made at the time, without any other considerations. Even more so since my father is involved in this entity. Now, that we are going to give a car to a child, that we are lending it, that he is driving with it, I don’t know if we have to justify it, if it is the subject of discussions. We can discuss the performance of the hospital if you want.” said Robert Dâncă for Ziarul de Iasi.
He also added that, in his opinion, the discussion about the use of the car should not be a priority in relation to the hospital’s activity.
According to the investigation, the BMW X7 would belong to the company SC TOP MEDICAL CRONIC SRL, which also owns a palliative care hospital in Sucevița. The company is associated with several investors in the medical field, and in 2024 it would have recorded a turnover of 6.4 million lei and a net profit of approximately 1.6 million lei.
The company also includes other people involved in the medical field, including doctors and business partners from Iasi.
The name of the manager’s father, Ioan Dânca, appears in several companies in the medical sector since 2018, when he became a shareholder of SC TOP MEDICAL CRONIC SRL. Later, he was involved in other companies in the field, including clinics and medical service companies.
