“We were not offended in the end. It's a Superman style figure. Even Mr. Rareş Bogdan appreciated her, he called me after that and said: well, she's brilliant, let's see how I can get rid of her now. It is our prerogative, we are also friends, we worked together, we even charged each other when we had the impression that we were wrong, because, isn't it, the union was made today, basically, it was made official, we harmonized. If one of us thinks that the other, let's say, does not respect the right path indicated by the parties, by the leaders, he will charge the other. I am convinced of this and it is part of the charm of life. But it is constructive criticism. But, as you can see, he is dressed in a regular suit”claimed the coordinator of the PSD campaign for the European Parliament, Mihai Tudose.
His colleague from the Coalition, the liberal Rareș Bogdan admitted that in the past “there were lines” and that “no one has forgotten them”, but stating that “it's important to get over these things and move forward thinking about the country's interest”.
“Over time, in the electoral campaigns or in the public space when I was active in the mass media area, many things were said, I said things, but I think that Romania's interest must come first”said Rareș Bogdan.
Regarding the route of the mayors, he specified that the mayors who want to switch from PSD to PNL or vice versa cannot be stopped. “The fact that they passed from one side to another, at the end of a mayor's term or a few months before, a man who until a certain age is a socialist and believes that liberalism is what represents him or until a certain age is a liberal and believes that he must go to the socialists cannot be stopped. Everyone matures sooner or later. I think it's important to see what those people do for the communities, how the citizens evaluate them and especially how they manage to implement the European money that Romania has failed to capitalize on for years”also specified the leader of the Romanian MEPs of the EPP.
The PSD-PNL coalition submitted the joint list for the European Parliament elections on Friday.
