How George Simion did tax evasion when he was selling firecrackers to the ultras. The “fraud” of the parties in the European parliamentary elections

The leader of AUR, George Simion, said in an interview that during the time he owned a company that sold brand clothes from abroad, products for ultras and firecrackers, he did tax evasion. Regarding the electoral process prior to the European Parliament elections, Simion mentioned that the parties would have no way to actually collect the necessary signatures to participate in the elections.

I had a job card, I had a company as an entrepreneur, I made money for what I needed for my personal needs, I didn't ask for money left, right, I managed from the age of 15, as I could. The trading company I had, with which I opened a store in Calea Moșilor (…) I sold brand clothes from Great Britain and Germany, I did imports, I did production in Romania, I made money“, said George Simion, in an interview with Valeriu Nicolae, on the YouTube channel “State of the Nation Official”.

Asked if he won “little, very little money”, Simion stated that: “script, yes“.

George Simion confirmed that he did tax evasion, explaining that he “didn't tax” all the products he sold on the Internet.

Yes, like 90% of Romanian entrepreneurs. I supported myself, my high school family didn't support me. I've learned a lot as an entrepreneur, I've learned a lot from all the activities I've done. (…) I used to sell on the internet these clothes and products of the ultras and firecrackers rather for New Year's Eve and we didn't tax them all”, said the AUR leader, when asked if he did tax evasion.

Simion: It's definitely a fraud

In the same interview, George Simion was asked if he thinks it is possible to honestly collect 100,000 signatures for the June 9 European Parliament elections.

Not (..) We submitted 100 thousand signatures for independents and 200 thousand for parties. We have submitted repeated initiatives for the modification of electoral procedures, elections in two voting rounds, reduction or total cutting of the subsidy“, added Simion, after being asked why something is not being done to change this aspect.

The AUR leader also said that what the “eit's definitely a fraud”.

It is definitely a scam. It's a matter of bravado. Some hide this theft in the form of promoter companies. – No, because they collected the promoter companies, they brought them to us… No. They are fake. Neither the USR nor the AUR collected these signatures, which they actually collected in the street. Neither did the independents. And it's a sham”, said Simion, when asked if this was a fraud known to all. “We came up with proposals to change the electoral spectrum, unfortunately we are not in power. USR was in power, I don't blame them, USR is not my target, I don't want to hit themGeorge Simion added.
