The Easter holidays are approaching and, with them, even more days off for Romanian employees. Students and state employees have many days off because May 1 and the Easter Holidays this year are very close, so it can be bridged. Orthodox Easter falls on May 5, so we will be free from May 3 to May 6. May 1 is free and falls on Wednesday.

The government decided that May 2 should also be a legal holiday, so as to bridge Easter. In other words, Romanians will have an extended mini-vacation, from May 1 to May 6. Regarding school courses, according to the calendar for the year 2023-2024, the Orthodox Easter will coincide with the spring vacation period. More precisely, the students' vacation is to start on April 27 (Saturday), and then it will end on May 7 (Tuesday).
The next mini-holiday, after Easter, will be on Pentecost, when Romanians will have three days off, including the second day of Pentecost, Monday, June 24.
