For over a decade, Thassos Island has been among the most popular European tourist destinations for Romanians. And prices have increased significantly in recent years.

One of the multiple strengths of so much of the beloved Greek island, which has about 13,000 inhabitants, is a logistical one: from Bucharest to Thassos are only 616 kilometers, a distance that can be traveled in maximum 11 hours if you choose to make the road No break.
On the Facebook group Forum Thassos, which has over 230,000 members, a post has collected hundreds of comments.
Specifically, one of the administrators of the group asked what budget were those who were in 2018 or 2019 in Thassos and returned in 2024, including accommodation, transport, food, souvenirs, beaches, fun and shopping.
And the man came with an example of budgets for Thassos in three different years: 2018 – 800 euros, 2024 – 1400 euros, 2025 – 2500 euros.
And the comments and examples of budgets of the group members did not delay to appear. For example, a woman said that in 2018 she spent 1375 euros, and in 2024- 1550 euros. The budget was for 4 people (2 adults and 2 big children), the same hotel, half -board accommodation, 5 nights.
Another member of the group came up with examples regarding the budgets allocated in different years, as: 2018 – 2000 euros (2 persons / 13 nights accommodation), 2019 – 2100 euros (2 persons / 13 nights accommodation), 2024 – 4000 euros (2 people / 15 nights accommodation). In all cases, the tables were only taken to the tavern, but only lunch and dinner.
The budgets allocated by another man were: 2020 – 2 adults and 3 children, total expenses 1100 euros, 8 nights; 2021 and 2022 – the same formula 1300 euros; 2023 – 2 adults and 2 children, 9 nights -1400 euros.
Thassos has almost everything that is missing from the Romanian coast: from much lower prices to accommodation and food to clean beaches, extremely clear water and, above all, impeccable services.
