The process filed by the three famous chefs against Antena Group ended with a clear victory for Sorin Bontea, Cătălin Scărlătescu and Florin Dumitrescu. Antenna 1 had to pay tens of thousands of euros for season 12 of the Chefi show at the knives.

It is the only process opened by Sorin Bontea, Cătălin Scărlătescu and Florin Dumitrescu against Antena 1, although the Intact trust, on the other side, had several actions in court against the three chefs and Pro TV. Stake? The non -payment of the fees for the last season in which they were present in the show.
The process opened by the three jurors of the show “Chefi la knives” against Antena TV Group ended with the Bucharest Court in April, with a favorable decision to them, and the motivation was only published, which details the exact amounts received by each of the three, as well as the penalties and costs incurred by Antena TV Group.
Specifically, the court forced the TV station to pay them the outstanding amounts for participating in season 12 of the show, broadcast in the autumn of 2023, along with the contractual penalties and the costs.
The money was paid, but the process continued
Interestingly, the antenna turned the amounts required by Chefi before the decision was pronounced, but said in the payment orders that it is “undue amounts”. This formulation was considered an attempt to challenge the applicants’ right to money, which is why the process continued.
Finally, the Bucharest Court decided that the chefs had a full right to the remuneration provided for in contracts. Moreover, the judges found that the antenna had unduly delayed the payment and paid the amounts only after it was officially notified and operated in court.
The amounts received by the three chefi
According to the court’s motivation, quoted by Paginademedia, the Antena paid tens of thousands of euros to the three chefs, as follows: Florin Dumitrescu received 114,000 lei (about 23,000 euros), plus delay penalties of 6,423 lei, and Cătălin Scărlătescu and Sorin Bontea received 344,000 lei (about 70,000 lei).
In addition, the court forced the Antena to bear the costs: 5,000 euros (approx. 26,000 lei) for Sorin Bontea and Cătălin Scărlătescu and 4,000 euros (21,000 lei) for Florin Dumitrescu.
The motivation does not provide details on the differences of amounts between the three, but all the expenses were recognized as justified.
The decision is not final and can be appealed with 30 days from the communication, it is also specified on the court portal. So far, the antenna has not yet made an appeal.
