Secretary of State Alexandru Rogobete participated in an official visit to the United Arab Emirates, dedicated to the digitization solutions of the Romanian health system. Discussions focused on the integration of advanced digital solutions to improve the efficiency, accessibility and quality of health services.

“The digitization of the healthcare system in Romania needs an integrated and continuous effort. The provision of complex communication systems, the integration of digital solutions at the hospital level and the connection of specialized outpatient clinics directly with the patient are the lines of integrated development that we are pursuing. Also, continuous remote monitoring through telemedicine systems will substantially increase patients’ access to medical services and obtaining a diagnosis as quickly as possible”. said Alexandru Rogobete, according to a press release sent by the Secretary of State.
According to the quoted source, the representatives of the International Holding Company (IHC) and the experts in health and digitalization in Abu Dhabi were among the participants in the official and technical discussions on the topic of digitization of the health system.
And the main technical discussions were based on identifying the most suitable digital and IT architecture solutions for:
–“The realization of the national telemedicine system that will aim to increase access to remote medical services, the possibility of tele-interpretation of MRI and CT images, connecting family doctors with specialized outpatient clinics for the rapid interpretation of EKG and ultrasonography investigations;
– Optimizing the medical flow at the level of specialized outpatient clinics;
– Digitization of ambulance services subordinated to the Ministry of Health;
-Realization of a national system of prevention and continuous monitoring of investments in health“.
According to the quoted source, other discussions formed the basis of a new Public Private Partnership with the largest Investment Holding in the United Arab Emirates.
