Portability allows telephone service users to keep their phone number when they change the supplier to benefit from the best offers on the market. ANCOM says the user can change his mind.

ANCOM shows that there are situations in which users change their minds, for example, when they receive a better offer from the current supplier.
ANCOM reminds that the cancellation of porting is possible under certain conditions and terms, announces Mediafax.
Thus, the request to cancel the porting must be submitted to the operator where the porting (the acceptor supplier) was requested. If the porting request has been submitted by remote means of communication, the cancellation request can be sent to the acceptor supplier in a similar way. The type form for the request for cancellation of the port can be obtained from here or directly from the acceptor supplier.
The request for cancellation must be submitted at the latest 24 hours before the moment (day and time) agreed with the acceptor supplier to carry out the port. Failure in this term usually leads to the processing of the porting request, and a completed porting process can no longer be canceled. Both for the calculation of the porting term and the cancellation of the portion, only the working days are taken into account.
After receiving the cancellation request, the supplier has the obligation to confirm its receipt and processing. It is very important for users to request and maintain a proof of the submission of the request for cancellation.
If the contract concluded with the acceptor supplier also involves the purchase of a terminal, it is important for users to verify the contractual clauses regarding it.
Porting cancellation does not cancel the costs related to terminals
ANCOM points out that it is not able to order a porting process. The approach can only be made by the parties involved in this process: Acceptor and user supplier.
In the case of the problems encountered during the process of cancellation, the users must be addressed, first of all, to the acceptor supplier, in the network they intended to portray their numbers.
If the porting cancellation requests are not resolved or clarified by the acceptor supplier, users can address ANCOM. In order to support them and to facilitate a prompt response, the authority has provided a form dedicated to complaints regarding the cancellation of the port. In order for ANCOM to be sent to be analyzed, users must present the proof of contacting the acceptor supplier and submitting the request for cancellation.
