In order to make the separation seem real, the husband transferred most of his former partner’s goods and passed his luxury bol on behalf of his mother-in-law. In addition, he rented a separate home to strengthen appearances. However, the authorities found that the building was uninhabited, and the neighbors confirmed that the man had never moved there, reports Il Mattino.

In addition, he continued to be seen alongside his ex -wife, including at the wheel of the luxury car he should have given permanently.

How they got empty

Although the plan seemed well developed, the two could not give up the habit of exposing their online couple. On Facebook, they posted pictures from holidays, selfies in which romantic comments were kissed, which served as evidence against them.

According to the Cassation Court of Italy, these posts were considered clear evidence that separation and divorce were a pure staging.

Following the investigations, the Italian justice decided to drastically punish the two. By a definitive decision issued on February 28, 2024, the husband was sentenced to two years in prison, and his wife for a year and a half.

The decision was initially taken by the Turin Tribunal in January 2023 and confirmed by the Court of Appeal in April the same year.
