The superliga of Turkey in football is facing a huge scandal related to the alleged partnership of his disciplinary commission in favor of the champion, Galatasaray Istanbul, and against other teams, especially Fenerbahce and his Portuguese coach, Jose Mourinho, writes EFE, quoted by Agerpres.

A well-known sports journalist has published messages from a WhatsApp group this week in which members of the Professional Disciplinary Commission (PFDK) of the Turkish football federation (TFF) ironizes Fenerbahce. Comments such as “Fener cries”, “Mourinho is tolerated too much” and “we will make him pay in the next season”were posted on the group.
The PFDK members involved would have already resigned after the scandal, although TFF has not yet commented on this situation, according to the online version of the Sabah newspaper. However, Fenerbahce Istanbul, the current vice -champion, filed an official complaint to the TFF, requesting a complete investigation into the messages revealed.
Mourinho’s club claims that messages reveal a hostile and biased tone from PFDK members to certain teams, raising question marks on their impartiality. “If these accusations are true the impartiality of the commission is compromised, the credibility of the federation is affected, and the disciplinary system itself loses any sense. Therefore, the club urges the Turkish Football Federation to trigger administrative and disciplinary investigations regarding the divulgate communications.”is shown in Fenerbahce’s statement.
Federation, accused of favoring certain clubs
It is not the first time that Fenerbahce complains to the TFF of what it describes as “inconsistent” and “politically motivated” decisions. For example, in March last year, Fenerbahce publicly challenged the suspension of three matches imposed on the Bosnian striker Edin Dzeko because he did not agree with the referee’s decision, arguing that the punishment was disproportionately compared to similar incidents involving other players.
Sabah reminds of a poll from last year, according to which 62% of Turkish football fans believe that the federation and its disciplinary commission favor certain clubs.
