Senators and deputies have filed almost 300 amendments to the five laws for which the Government has assumed responsibility in the Parliament, but most were rejected.

The parliamentarians filed 291 amendments to the laws for which the Government assumes responsibility, most rejected
Senators and deputies have submitted a total of 291 amendments to the five laws for which the Government announced its intention to engage their responsibility in the Parliament, but most of the proposals were not adopted, according to a press release of the Government.
Of the 291 amendments submitted, only the changes for two projects have been approved
The first three projects were adopted in the original form, without the amendments submitted by the parliamentarians being taken into account. Two of them were modified:
– the draft law on establishing measures to recover and streamline public resources.
– the draft law on the efficiency of the activity of some autonomous administrative authorities;
Increase taxes for great wealth
Amendments to the Law on rectification and efficiency of public resources:
- tax exemptions for war veterans, their widows, formerly deported and persecuted: exemption from the payment of the tax for the home, the related land and a means of transport;
- the three times increase of the tax rate for the big assets, from 0.3% to 0.9%, applicable for both real estate of over 2.5 million lei and for luxury cars of over 375,000 lei;
- the reduction of 40 lei/year of the tax on electric cars (compared to 80 lei at present);
- new rules for the share capital of companies: minimum threshold of 500 lei for newly established SRL and 5,000 lei for those with turnover of over 400,000 lei;
- Introducing the minimum tax on the turnover (IMCA) for companies with revenues of over 50 million euros/year;
- limiting deductible expenses for management and consulting in the relationship with external affiliated entities to 1% of total expenses;
Personnel discounts and lower wages
The provisions of the Law for the efficiency of the activity of some autonomous administrative authorities:
- 10% reduction of specialized positions and by 30% of administrative support positions at ANRE, ASF and ANCOM;
- The salaries and allowances of the members of the management will be reduced by 30% from the beginning of 2026;
- By the end of 2028, they will not benefit from bonuses or first members of the ANRE committee, ANCOM presidents and vice -presidents;
- The management of these institutions must present to the Parliament the new organizational charts until October 30;

The Senate and the Chamber of Deputies met on Monday, September 1, on the first day of the ordinary session of the Parliament, for committing the Government liability for five projects. The initiatives fall into 5 consecutive sessions. The common sessions of Parliament started at 19.00. The opposition will be able to submit 5 censorship motions within 3 days, and Gold has announced that it will submit for each project assumed by the Government.
