The new regulations prohibit any additional form of payment offered to doctors and clarify the way in which hospitals can receive donations.
“We do not support and do not accept informal payments to doctors and firmly condemn any behavior that conditions the medical act of such payments“, Alexandru Rogobete said the chairman of the Health Committee of the Chamber of Deputies, in a Facebook post.
According to the changes adopted, patients can no longer provide money directly to the employees of the health units. In contrast, hospitals will be able to receive donations, but they will be managed transparently and included in the public budget of the medical unit.
