Interim President Ilie Bolojan wanted to point out the importance of these elections in Romania, in a period when “the times of silence have sunset“. He also wanted to point out that this mandate will not be easy, because
“The president will give the important directions of foreign policy, but also of defense”.

“I am aware of the importance of these elections for Romania. Why are they important? It is a complicated period, and the quiet times have appeared. The President of Romania will give the Imporant Directorates of the External and Defense Policy. They will depend on the safety of our country and the fact that we will remain a reliable country,” Ilie Bolojan pointed out after the vote.

“Internally, the president will have to collaborate with the parliamentary majority, with the Government, in order to rebuild the confidence, to reform the state and to create opportunities and development for Romanians. For these reasons, every responsible citizen who votes can make history for Romania and my urge for all the citizens of Romania is to vote, no he concluded.
