President Klaus Iohannis promulgated the law establishing the Centennial Year of the Romanian Patriarchate in 2025, writes AGERPRES.

According to the normative act, on the occasion of the celebration of the Centenary of the Romanian Patriarchy, the Romanian Orthodox Church organizes a series of activities and events to honor the memory of all those who have made efforts for the official recognition of the Autocephaly of the BOR and the acquisition of its rank of Patriarchy.
The Parliament, the Presidential Administration, the Government, the local public administration authorities, but also the public institutions subordinated or coordinated by them can allocate funds from their own budgets, within the limits of the approved budget allocations, and offer logistical support to the activities organized by the Romanian Orthodox Church on this occasion.
