It was decided who exercises the duties of mayor instead of Robert Negoiţă. Who is Adrian Cocoș?

Adrian Cocoş, deputy mayor of District 3, exercises the duties of mayor in place of Robert Negoiţă, after the prosecutors ordered the initiation of criminal proceedings and the measure of judicial control on bail against the latter for abuse of office.

The City Hall of Sector 3 announces that since last year, during a meeting of the Local Council, the social democrat Adrian Cocoş was appointed the deputy mayor of Sector 3 who takes over the duties of the mayor, when the mayor is unable to exercise them.

The investigation website Snoop.ro wrote, in February 2025, that Adrian Cocoș got 2.70 in the mathematics test from the BAC, then he became a local councilor, an administrator at the IT sector company, but also a shareholder and employee of a group of companies that sell “branded clothes”.

The prosecutors from the Section for combating crimes assimilated to corruption crimes ordered the initiation of criminal proceedings and the taking of the measure of judicial control on bail, for a period of 60 days, starting on February 5, against Robert Negoiţă, for committing the crimes of abuse of office if the public servant obtained for himself or for another an undue benefit and abuse of office.

Negoiţă must submit, within ten days, a bond in the amount of 800,000 lei, which will be recorded in his name, at the disposal of the National Anticorruption Directorate.

Also, Negoiţă is not allowed to move to the headquarters of the District 3 City Hall and exercise the function of mayor.
