Italy is the queen of women’s tennis. Clear victory with Slovakia

The points of success were brought into today’s final by Lucia Bronzetti (25 years old, 78 WTA) and the soulful Jasmine Paolini (28 years old, 4 WTA).

In the final, Italy beat Slovakia to win the Billie Jean King Cup, formerly the Fed Cup competition.

The first point was brought by Lucia Bronzetti, who conceded only 6 games. She won 6-2, 6-4 against Viktoria Hruncakova (26 years old, 238 WTA).

Then, Paolini had fun with Rebecca Sramkova (28 years old, 43 WTA).

It is Italy’s 5th title, the last coming at home in Cagliari in 2013, when they beat Russia.

The others fell in 2006, 2009, 2010 and 2013.
