At her first participation in the WTA tournament in Rabat, the Romanian tennis player, ranked 74th WTA, managed to reach the final after defeating Colombian Maria Camila Osorio (55th WTA) with 6-7 (6/8), 6-4, 6-4.

26-year-old Jaqueline Cristian managed to defeat the favorite number 2 in a match that lasted about three hours. She managed to make the fourth match ball she had.
