Spanish singer Julio Iglesias prepares his defense with his lawyers, after being accused of “human trafficking” and “sexual offenses” by two former employees.
The two women – a housekeeper and a physiotherapist – claim that they were the target of sexual violence by the legendary Spanish artist in his residences in the Dominican Republic and the Bahamas, in 2021. They were then 22 and 28 years old, respectively, writes Agerpres.
Both accusers filed complaints in Spanish courts in January for “facts “likely to constitute the offense of human trafficking with the aim of imposing forced labor and servitude” or “infringements on sexual freedom and integrity””according to the organizations Women’s Link Worldwide and Amnesty International.
Julio Iglesias, whose records have sold more than 300 million copies worldwide, has not yet made statements about this scandal after the publication, on Tuesday, of an investigation by the Spanish online daily elDario.es and the American television Univision, containing testimonies of the two former employees.

Hello! he did not publish any quote directly attributed to the Spanish star and which could be extracted from that discussion.
