The latest events in the south-eastern area of the country, where remnants of Russian drones were found on the territory of the country, led the leader of the USR, Elena Lasconi, to demand the closure of the Consulate General of Russia in Constanța. It claims that the bilateral agreement concluded years ago should be cancelled.
“Romania and its citizens need leaders focused on deeds, not those who make us dizzy with words. The Consulate General of Russia in Constanta must be closed. Russia is closing a Romanian consulate general on its territory, from Rostov-on-Don, and Romania must react firmly, unequivocally. The Romanian government must close the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Constanța. The bilateral agreement that is the basis of this diplomatic representation in Romania must be denounced as a result of the unjustified behavior of the Russian Federation”wrote the USR candidate for Romania’s presidency on her Facebook page.
Lasconi also says that since Russian drones are falling on Romanian territory, and Russia is closing our country’s consulates unjustifiably, Romania must react.
“The Romanian government must show that it defends the interests of the country and its citizens through correct decisions against the actors who attack our Romanian territory and sabotage Romania’s diplomatic representation”Lasconi also mentioned.
