“I do not think there was an influence from Russia. That’s how we are left to believe. I think the help that Mr. Georgescu received comes from. Think about 35 years since the Revolution and we are still looking for terrorists. It will take 35 years and we will continue to look for the Russians from the elections. It was a decision, an abuse that can no longer be repaired. It is irreparable. There were three abuses of the RCC. (…) I do not say that I know (that it was not an influence of Russia – no). I say I saw no evidence. I didn’t see anything tangible.
In the report made by the secret services of the Republic of Moldova there is clearly the influence of Russia on the day of the vote, with votes and so on. We have not seen anything about the influence of Russia. It is absolutely incredible that after all the time since the annulment of the elections we have no evidence. Already there are Western officials who are questioning: What happened in Romania? And these decisions of the RCC are irreparable and have an extremely dangerous precedent. Basically, presidential elections will be organized until the Constitutional Court wants“, Said the USR leader on Thursday at Digi24.
Also, the candidate for elections has the response regarding the cancellation must come from the state institutions.
“I was a candidate who played correctly, the only pro-European candidate who reached the second round. I drew attention on some things I felt happening during the election campaign. And it seems I was right, but I would have wanted to see the state institutions to work. (…) Nothing has changed. Klaus Iohannis has remained in Cotroceni, for a month we do not know what he does, the same silence, the same arrogance … We have the same government, practically, with some faces changed. Has not changed absolutely nothing but people’s anger is very big“Said Lasconi.
Last week, Lasconi demanded Toni’s resignation from the head of the Permanent Electoral Authority (AEP).
“It is unacceptable that this gentleman, who receives about four special pensions, will be allowed to organize another round of elections in Romania.
The latter says he organized them “flawless”, only that the permanent electoral authority has failed to make sure that all candidates have transparent campaigns and the voting process is correct. The extremist candidate who arrived in round 2 claims that he has invested zero lei in the campaign, although he has benefited from a large campaign on social media financed by controversial figures, but including PNL! The votes were also helped by the PSD to reach the round. this continues.
