We remind you that Leonard Doroftei has been living in Canada for several years. The former pugilist made public during the show “Exclusiv VIP” on Prima TV and the reason why he settled with his family in Canada.
“I needed to go to Canada because I had to go through a shock, through something, I said I needed something. (…) In Romania it was only my fault because I didn't know exactly what I wanted, I let myself be dragged here and there. Now I'm fine, thank God, I've found myself, I'm coaching kids, I'm not fine, I'm very fine”, confessed Leonard Doroftei.

Regarding his three children, Vanessa, Alex and Adrian, the former WBA world featherweight champion said that “everyone has their own way”.
“Everyone has their own way, Vanesa is now on vacation, in Romania, she is finishing her high school, she has about two weeks left to complete her final high school exams.
Then she returns to Romania, she doesn't want to live in Canada. In five years, I don't know if she left the house twice, that is, with friends, but with us. He said Stop! For her, this is home. We hope she is a student of Medicine or Law“, he declared.

As for his youngest son, Alex, he confessed that he works in the IT field, and Adrian, the eldest boy, is a manager at a Canadian company.
“We left because I needed a change. (…) Alex finished physical education in Magurele, stayed here and then followed us there, in Canada. He's an IT guy. He is already in Romania, he has started his job. (…) He works in Canada, he is a manager at Air Canada. If we are here, he will come too. If we decide to go back, so will he. 99.9% the decision has been made, now let's see“, said the former pugilist.
Regarding returning to the country, Doroftei claimed that the decision to return definitively to Romania has already been made.
“Monica (ed. his wife) she wanted to come home first. She still has parents to help. A few years ago I said that I needed a change, something. And I took this step, everyone followed me, but it was very difficult for them, I, there, found my way, I train, I do what I know.
I didn't enter competitions, I just train, work with the kids. I can train here too, I understood that I can do that, what I give to the children is important“, he also said.
