LIDL announced on Friday the withdrawal from sale of a batch of food products, which could be contaminated with Salmonella.

The manufacturer GEKA has preventively recalled the product “Culinea Nuggets with chicken 500 g” with the validity period 02.03.2025, from the batch number ED03.02.2024 049502204845, with suspicion of the presence of Salmonella.
In the case of the targeted batch, the presence of salmonella bacteria in the product cannot be excluded, is the announcement posted on the ANSVSA website.

Salmonella can trigger severe gastrointestinal diseases.
“In certain groups of people (young, old, pregnant, immunosuppressed) it can cause serious symptoms. Therefore, customers must not consume the affected product under any circumstances. For reasons related to consumer safetythe manufacturer GEKA and Lidl Romania reacted without delay and withdrew this product from sale”, it is also shown in the ANSVSA document.
