The National School of Political and Administrative Studies (SNSPA) announced on Wednesday the appointment of Ligia Deca, the former Minister of Education, as vice-rector of the university.

This will have responsibilities in the field of institutional relations and strategic projects. According to a press release of SNSPA, lect. university Dr. Ligia Deca is a teaching staff of the Department of International Relations and European Integration (SNSPA) since 2022.
“Between October 2022 and December 2024, Ligia Deca was the Minister of Educationa period in which he implemented important educational policies, contributing to the development of the education system in Romania. He was a member of the High Level Panel for the Teaching Profession, convened by the UN Secretary General. Previously, between 2019 and 2022, he held the position of presidential adviser within the Presidential Administration, where he coordinated the Education and Research Department and the process of developing the strategic vision “Educated Romania””according to a press release from SNSPA.
Ligia Deca also held the position of State Counselor within the Presidential Administration between 2015 and 2019.
Between 2010 and 2012 he coordinated the Secretariat of the Bologna Process, and between 2008 and 2010 he was the president of the European Union of Students.
