The Minister of Education, Ligia Deca, visited several flooded schools in Galati county and proposed that students learn in containers. That is, until the respective school units are remodeled. The minister declared that the school could be held, when the situation demands it, in a hybrid system – physical and online. “Here the classes for children with affected classes will resume, the hybrid courses on laptops will resume. We also have a series of modular constructions, we see where they will be located. I thought it appropriate to come, let’s see how we can help. Where it cannot be reached, the educational process is stopped”, declared Ligia Deca.
The official was accompanied to Galati by the Secretary of State from the Ministry of Education, Sorin Ion. The purpose of the visit was to assess the need for support from local authorities regarding the safe resumption of classes in localities with flooded schools and kindergartens.

More than 40 schools in Galati have their activity affected
According to the data of the Ministry of Education, in total, in Galati county, the activity of 41 educational units is affected. According to the information provided by the Galati County School Inspectorate, several schools in Galati have suspended classes and cannot conduct online classes for the time being. It is about the Technological High School “Eremia Grigorescu” from Târgu Bujor with the structures Kindergarten with Normal Program “Căsuța Piticilor” from Târgu Bujor and Kindergarten with Normal Program No. 1 Moscow. These units have classes suspended today. Secondary School No. 1 from Băneasa commune, classes suspended today only for the secondary cycle, “Gheorghe Poalelungi” Secondary School from Măstăcani commune with the following structures: Kindergarten with Normal Program No. 1 Măstăcani, Kindergarten with Normal Program No. 3 Măstăcani, Secondary School No. 3 Măstăcani, Primary School No. 1 Chiraftei, High School No. 2 Chiraftei, Kindergarten with Normal Program No. 1 Chiraftei and Grădinita No. 2 Chiraftei (courses suspended today, “Paul Bujor” Technological High School in Berești with the structure Kindergarten with Normal Program No. 1 Berești, with classes suspended until September 20.
