MPs want to limit the maximum scooter speed at 25 kilometers per hour, and the helmet is mandatory, regardless of age. This is after many accidents caused by young people in the country.
The parliamentarians have already proposed amendments to the current legislation.

Over 1,000 serious accidents with electric scooters
In Romania now circulates 18,000 lease scooters and 60,000 personal. And this year there were already over 1,000 accidents with important victims or damage, resulting in seven deaths.
After the legislative changes, a final vote will be given in the plenary of Parliament in two weeks.
