The Parliament of Romania meets on Sunday, September 7, in a joint meeting of the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate for the debate of 4 censorships submitted by gold, as a result of assuming the Government liability on several projects regarding fiscal measures. At the end of the debates, the parliamentarians will give a secret ball.

The only project for which the censorship motion has not been submitted is that of the pensions of the magistrates, on which there is a broad political consensus, but which reaches the CCR table, as a result of the notification of the High Court of Cassation and Justice (JCCJ).
The Senate and the Chamber of Deputies meet on Sunday, September 7, starting at 1:00 pm, in a common meeting. At the end of the debates, the secret ball vote is organized, which takes place exclusively with physical presence.
The government, accused of “legislative terrorism”
The leader of the senators gold, Petrișor Peiu, said in the plenary, during the reading of the 4 censorship motions, that one of the draft law for which the Bolojan Government assumed the responsibility in the Parliament “is part of an act of unprecedented legislative terrorism in democratic Europe”.
“Never, in the History of European Democrats, a government has not challenged the democratic logic and the separation of powers in the state to such an extent-assuming responsibility in Parliament on five draft laws in one day. Perhaps the legislative technique strictly respects the constitutional text, but, of course, this is an abuse that they have not allowed to the national parliaments.”argues the leader of the gold senators.
The 4 censorship motions are:
“The resignation of the Bolojan Government – the best treatment for the health system, but also for Romania!”
The first motion is submitted against the second law that the cabinet has engaged in responsibility, which concerns the health changes.
“Stop the politicization of public companies. Stop the mocking of the state!”
The second motion targets the project to amend GEO 109/2011 on corporate governance, on which it accuses a strengthening of political control over public enterprises.
“The government mimics the reform – ASF, ANRE and ANCOM continue to be corrupt, incompetent and evil institutions, captive to the political and lack of professional governance”
In the third motion of censorship, it accuses a maintenance of “colossal” and salaries in the autonomous administrative authorities ASF, ANRE and ANCOM.
“Stop the poor of the Romanians! Cut from you, not from them!”
The fourth motion attacks the fiscal-budget package as a whole. The employment of the responsibility on five projects is qualified as a bypass of the parliamentary debates.
“The program imposed by committing the liability was not voted by the Romanians in elections, nor approved by the Parliament at the time of the investment. Instead of a transparent debate, the current power preferred to argue the right to dictate laws at will, challenging the democratic logic and the separation of powers in the state”, to transmit gold to a statement.
Without the necessary votes
When reading the motions the plenary room was almost empty, many of the opposition’s elected officials. The sitting president, Sorin Grindeanu, announced at the beginning of the plenary meeting that, out of a total of 464 senators and deputies, only 172 registered their presence. In fact, most participated online.
For the passage of a censorship motion, a half plus one is needed, so the opposition needs the votes of 234 parliamentarians, that is, more than they can gather gold, sauce, can also, in the context that power has a comfortable majority of 70% in Parliament.
The members of the coalition parties will most likely refrain from voting, so that there are no suspicions. The same thing happened at the previous motion, which collected 134 votes.
A single member of power has signed one of the censorship motions. He was a parliamentarian, but he went to the PSD. He argued that he did not realize what he puts on the pen and “signed as the mayor ”.
