What time does the test start and how long does it last

The exam starts at 9:00 a.m. and students have two hours to solve the topics. The writing time is calculated after filling in the identification box. Candidates are allowed to enter the halls from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. The candidates will be directed by the assistants, directly to the designated place, in the examination room, where they will sit one by one on the bench, in alphabetical order. Between 8:30 and 9:00, the students will be registered and will be explained how to conduct the test. Starting at 9:00, children will receive the topic booklet and stamped draft paper. They will fill in the identification box (in a maximum of 15 minutes), and the assistants will check the entered data and keep the box secret.

Materials prohibited in the exam room

It is forbidden to enter the room with any type of supporting materials: textbooks, dictionaries, notes, notes, books, drafts, summaries, collections, etc., which can be used to solve the subjects, as well as with mobile phones and any electronic computing tool , information storage or communication. Candidates are prohibited from bringing satchels, rucksacks, satchels, purses and the like into the examination hall, candidates having the obligation to leave the said items in the personal belongings storage room established by the committee in the educational unit/examination center for this purpose. Students who refuse to store objects in the room established by the committee for this purpose, are not admitted to the exam. Failure to comply with the provisions regarding the introduction of prohibited materials into the examination room results in the removal of the student from the room, regardless of whether the prohibited materials were used or not, and the marking of the removed student’s work with 1 (one).

How to correct a wrong answer

In the written tests of the 2024 National Assessment exam, students receive the topics in booklet form. They may also ask for additional pages, if applicable. In the Mathematics test, an answer from Subject I or Subject II can be corrected by cutting with a horizontal line and circling another answer considered correct. In the situation where the student returns to the initially selected/circled answer and considers another option to be correct, this will be written in the column/box dedicated to the score assigned to the item, located next to the area with the four answer options.

National Assessment 2024. When appeals are filed

Appeals can be submitted between July 3, 2024 (4:00 p.m.—7:00 p.m.) and July 4, 2024 (8:00 a.m.—12:00 p.m.), and will be resolved between July 4 and July 9, 2024.

During the appeals resolution stage, after the end of the evaluation of the works, the marks awarded after the re-evaluation are compared with those awarded in the initial evaluation stage. In the situation where there is a difference in grading of more than 1 point, plus or minus, between the grade from the initial assessment and the one from the appeals, the paper is re-evaluated by two other evaluators. Re-evaluation is done strictly following the grading scale and grading and all evaluation procedures. The grade awarded by the second appeals committee is the final grade obtained by the candidate. The grade obtained in the appeals resolution stage is the final grade, regardless of the score obtained, plus or minus, compared to the grade awarded in the initial evaluation stage of the paper. This mark can no longer be changed and represents the mark obtained by the candidate in that test.

When the final results are displayed

The display of the final results for the 2024 National Assessment exam, after the resolution of appeals, will take place on July 9, 2024. Their communication is anonymized, using the individual codes that replace the candidates’ first and last names and which were distributed to the candidates, based on of the receipt signature, at the first test taken by them. The commissions in the exam centers print the list of final results after appeals by anonymized candidates and display it, according to the calendar, with the signature of the president and secretary of the commission in the exam center, on the notice board of the educational unit and on its website. The results of the National Assessment exam are also displayed on the website of the Ministry of Education and the school inspectorates, for a period of 2 years.

How to Calculate High School GPA

The admission average, on the basis of which the high school enrollment is made, is the overall average at the National Assessment. This is calculated as the arithmetic mean, with two decimal places, without rounding, of the grades obtained in the National Assessment tests.

The Ministry of Education has made the TELVERDE line 0800801100 available to those interested to report any malfunctions regarding the conduct of the 2024 National Assessment exam. The number will be available during the written tests.
