Local elections 2024. Partial results for local councils. The first three places: PSD – 35.86%, PNL – 29.33%, AUR – 9.55%

The degree of participation in the 2024 local elections indicated by the BEC after the centralization of 96.45% of the total constituencies was 51.16%. The order of the first three political parties in the voters' preferences is the same as regards the vote for the local councils: PSD, PNL, AUR.

Over 7 million valid votes cast for local councils

The Social Democratic Party obtained 35.86%% of the votes for the election of local councils, and the National Liberal Party – 29.33%, followed by the Alliance for the Union of Romanians with 9.55%, according to the partial results presented on Wednesday by the Central Electoral Bureau (BEC ).

The spokesperson of the BEC, Anamaria Revnic-Călugarita, announced that, following the centralization at national level of 96.45% of the 3,186 electoral constituencies, the degree of participation in voting was 51.16%, the total number of votes valid votes cast is 7,303,571, representing 95.92% of the number of those who went to the polls.

According to the centralization of votes for Local Councils, the situation is as follows:

* The Social Democratic Party obtained 35.86% (2,618,930 votes);

* The National Liberal Party obtained 29.33% (2,142,111 votes);

* The Alliance for the Union of Romanians obtained 9.55% (697,406 votes);

* The Hungarian Democratic Union from Romania obtained 5.72% (417,742 votes);

* USR United Right Alliance – PMP – Forţa Dreptei obtained 4.73% (345,818 votes):

* The Save Romania Union obtained 2.11% (154,023 votes).

The spokesperson of the BEC specified that, until this moment, the results were centralized in five constituencies for the election of county councils, as well as five constituencies for the election of the presidents of the county councils.
