Mădălin Ionescu, about food prices on the French Riviera: “They are lower than in Romania” VIDEO

After a month spent on vacation abroad, TV presenter Mădălin Ionescu made a comparison between the prices in Romania and those in other European countries, concluding that those in the supermarkets on the Côte d’Azur or those in Italy are lower than the prices in Romanian stores .

In a post on TikTok, Mădălin Ionescu confessed what he found after analyzing prices in the West for various categories of commercial products and services.

“I can tell you with my hand on my heart, and this can be confirmed by almost every Romanian who lives abroad, but still has ties to the country, that, including in France, on the Cote d’Azur, remember this – for those who you are not familiar with the destination, it is an exclusive one – at supermarkets at least, the prices are lower than in Romania. This is no exaggeration“, Mădălin Ionescu said in the post.

“More products than in Romania, for the same money”

Mădălin Ionescu testified that in supermarkets in France, either spend much less on the same amount of similar products, or buyi “more products than in Romania, for the same money”:

“Cheese, oil, butter, meat prices are lower than in Romania.”

The presenter amazed his followers on the social media platform with other concrete examples:

Italy is far below what is happening here in the commercial sector, although the quality of the products there and their diversity is huge. And yes, friends, prices are much higher in Romania. With the same money, in Italy, at an expensive supermarket, I buy twice as many products as in Romania. In France, on the Cote d’Azur, at InterMarche, for example, with the money with which I buy twice and even less products at a supermarket chain in Romania, I fill some bags there”.

“In Italy I ate a large pizza for five euros, that is 25 lei”

presenter then made a comparison between the prices of pizza in the mother country of the famous dish and those practiced in Romania.

“In Italy I happened to pay five euros for a large pizza. Where, around here, you still pay five euros for a pizza, i.e. 25 lei? Maybe in a few slices. Around here, under 70 lei does not exist, i.e. 14 euros. And there I ate for five euros for the same size. In Tuscany, for example“, Mădălin Ionescu also said.

Mădălin Ionescu: “expect further price increases”

The presenter ended his post with a cynical message:

“Things are taking a turn for the worse. Because these guys, these mafias, who moved a lot of money out of the country to tax havens, don’t know how to run a country according to performance criteria. A country is run like a private company is run. They are unable to create some modern, flexible economic mechanisms to help the economy. It does not respect the private environment. And the only thing they know how to do is raise taxes. Next year will be bad from this point of view, expect further price increases“, Mădălin Ionescu also said.
