Madonna will delight the public in Rio de Janeiro with a free mega-concert on Copacabana beach. The show is scheduled to take place on May 4 and will mark the end of her tour, the singer and the organizers of the event announced on Monday.
With excitement at an all-time high, Madonna promised an unforgettable show, declaring it would be her “biggest” concert to date on one of the world's most iconic stages.
Through a statement published on her official website, the American artist announced her return to Brazil, where she last performed in 2012.
This show will be Madonna's only stop in South America on her “Celebration” tour. With this tour, the pop music legend celebrates her impressive 40-year career and numerous concerts, held around the world.
Madonna decided to make this concert free, as a sign of gratitude for the support her fans have given her over the years.

At least one million viewers are expected
Organizers have revealed that the logistics required for this event will be comparable to that of the famous New Year's Eve fireworks display, which annually attracts at least one million spectators to Copacabana Beach.
In the past, large-scale concerts such as the one held by The Rolling Stones in 2006 have drawn between 1.2 and 1.5 million spectators.
The seven-time Grammy Award winner's tour is currently in North America, with next concerts scheduled in April in Miami and Ciudad de Mexico, before the big event in Rio de Janeiro.
