Perry asked his assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa to “prepare the jacuzzi“. Immediately after, he told his assistant to “take the biggest dose,” shortly before he was found face down in the hot tub of his $5.2 million Los Angeles mansion, according to newly released documents.
This information was included in the plea agreement entered into by Iwamasa, who was charged with involvement in the actor’s death.
A past marked by abuse
The documents also reveal that Perry was found unconscious twice before his fatal death on October 28, 2023. Additionally, it is revealed that the actor began using ketamine regularly in late September of that year, and the assistant was tasked with procuring the drug.
Iwamasa was arrested along with four others and charged in connection with Perry’s death. Eric Fleming, Dr. Mark Chavez, Jasveen Sangha and Dr. Salvador Plasencia are the other suspects.
Iwamasa, Fleming and Chavez all agreed to plead guilty — while Sangha and Plasencia pleaded not guilty.
An in-depth timeline of Perry’s last month of life was included in Iwamasa’s plea agreement. According to the timeline, Perry, who has long struggled with addiction, requested that Iwamasa begin supplying him with illegal drugs in late September 2023.
Perry”directed him to find sources from which to purchase the drugs” and gave his assistant money or promised to reimburse him for his medication.

Even in low doses, long-term use of ketamine can cause serious and irreversible damage to the bladder and kidneys, as well as excruciating abdominal pain – sometimes known as k-cramps.
Ketamine works as an anesthetic by blocking the neurotransmitter N-methyl-D-aspartate (NDMA), which controls actions in the nervous system.
It can quickly diminish sensations, prevent pain, induce sleep or even inhibit memory.
For this reason, it is usually given in small doses for non-anesthetic purposes and in large doses as an anesthetic in a medical setting, such as before surgery.
At lower doses, it gives users a sense of euphoria, out-of-body experiences, and hallucinations.
If injected, the effects of ketamine can take over in as little as a minute. Users typically feel such effects within five to 15 minutes if inhaled and half an hour if swallowed.
