The former pilot was present last weekend at the wedding of his daughter Gina, aged 27, who married German businessman Iain Bethke, according to the Daily Mail. It is considered the first public appearance of Michael Schumacher.
The gala event took place in Mallorca, in the villa bought by the family of the former Formula 1 champion from Florentino Perez, the president of Real Madrid. The ceremony took place in the huge property of 15,000 square meters. The property where the wedding took place has two swimming pools, a helipad, a gym and a huge garden that is surrounded by palm trees.
Also, no guests were allowed to take photos on their phones at the wedding, notes the quoted source.
Since the serious accident 11 years ago, very little information about Michael Schumacher’s health has come to light. Also, only family members could see it. Corinna Schumacher, the wife of the seven-time world champion, has since made huge sacrifices to help him. Moreover, he refused to provide any details about his health.
According to the Spanish publication Ultima Hora, the bride’s family asked the participants to leave their mobile phones with the security agents in order to avoid taking photos and disclosing them to the press.
