Almost nine months after the death of Felix Baumgartner, Mihaela Rădulescu published a large and very personal message on Instagram, in which she talks about their relationship, about the life lived with him and about the lessons learned after his disappearance.
Mihaela Rădulescu describes the connection with the famous athlete Felix Baumgartner as a total, intense and atypical experience, in which, at a certain moment, the boundaries between personal and professional life were completely blurred. “When life gives you an extreme athlete… you don’t just get the man, you get the whole package,” she writes, emphasizing the idea of a relationship that involved constant engagement and continual adaptation.
“You don’t just love a guy like that, you work for him,” says Mihaela Rădulescu, explaining that she was involved in all aspects of Felix’s life, from organization and logistics to emotional support and communication, and listing all the “functions” she had.
“It took Felix two seconds to see the benefit of having me everywhere – I had the freedom to make my own schedule around his, I had a social grace and the ability to talk to anyone in 5 languages, I was the travel agent for both of them, his personal assistant in every possible way (even outside of the usual job description :), I was his media gatekeeper when needed, his copywriter, videographer, negotiator, advisor and BEST FRIEND”, wrote the star on Instagram.
She also talks about the daily routine, where supporting her partner had become a way of life.
“I cooked for him in every house I stayed in around the world, washed and ironed his clothes, sitting still when he was focused, cheering him up when he was down, calming him when he was upset, admiring him for the million reasons I discovered along the way.” she continued.
Mihaela Rădulescu admits that their relationship was not without tensions, but says that these did not weaken the bond between them: “Don’t think everything was perfect, we argued, we contradicted each other in some ways, we were different in some ways.”
But, continues the star, precisely these differences strengthened the relationship: “That’s what made us so inseparable – we trusted each other and we complemented each other.”
Mihaela Rădulescu talks about the intense life lived with the athlete and about the reciprocity of feelings.
“I gave him love, respect, peace of mind and energy to do all his work with a smile on his face. He gave me all of that back, plus an extreme and glittering life that others only dream of. This is a life well lived for both of us. This is the LOVE every woman should aim for; but never forget: you have to give it all to get it all.” she states.
“And learn from my tragedy too – always have a Plan B”the star writes towards the end, referring to the way she was treated by Felix Baumgartner’s family, after the death of his former partner.
We remind you that Felix Baumgartner died on July 17, 2025, in Porto Sant’Elpidio, following a motorized paragliding accident during a flight considered routine, after losing control of the aircraft and crashing into a holiday complex.
